Every great scent begins with a conversation. At Muro Scents, we open our craft to brands whose stories move us - and together, we build something the world hasn't smelled before.
In 1825, on the island of Värmdö outside Stockholm, the Gustafsberg porcelain factory was born — and with it, a legacy of Swedish craft that has endured for two centuries. Today, it holds a distinction shared by no other: the only bone porcelain factory in Europe, producing porcelain of extraordinary translucency and refinement, by hand, as it has always been done.
Among its most beloved creations is Bersa — one of the most iconic works in Scandinavian design — a pattern by Stig Lindberg featuring a delicate arrangement of leaves and white space that became a quiet symbol of Scandinavian elegance. It is a pattern rooted in the same tradition of unhurried craftsmanship that has defined Swedish making for generations — where material, form, and purpose are never separated. This candle is a meeting of two worlds: Gustafsberg's timeless form and Muro Scents' mastery of fragrance. Held in a vessel dressed in Berså's signature motif, the scent within was composed to reflect the same sensibility — natural, considered, enduring. Two hundred years of porcelain. One flame.

There is a concept in ancient Roman urban planning — the cardo — a north-south axis that formed the beating heart of every city. A place where commerce, culture and daily life converged. It is from this idea that Cardo Hotels takes its name, and its philosophy: that a hotel should not simply exist within a city, but belong to it entirely.
Muro Scents shares that conviction. Our collaboration with Cardo spans two cities and two distinct identities — Rome and Brussels — each approached as its own olfactory world. For every property, we have composed the fragrances that inhabit the shared spaces and developed the amenities that guests encounter privately, in the quiet of their rooms. Nothing is borrowed between the two. Every scent is an original, shaped by the particular character of its place.
Rome asked for depth — ancient stone, warm air, the slow grandeur of a city that has seen everything. Brussels asked for something altogether different — vivid, layered, alive with contradiction.
Two cities. Two languages of scent. One approach: to make fragrance feel inevitable.
Our work with New York's Foundation Maison took fragrance somewhere unexpected - into the concept of time itself. Together we built a collection of three scents, each anchored to a different moment: where we've been, where we are, and where we're going. Olfactory storytelling at its most ambitious.

Among our collaborations with Fotografiska, Biophilia stands out. Created for the 'In Bloom' exhibition, it did what the best scents do - extended the art beyond the walls. Visitors didn't just see the exhibition, they smelled it. A blend of phytoncides, myrrh, olibanum, cedarwood, patchouli, and Somali rose, grounding nature and artistry in a single breath.
Born in Odessa, raised in Coney Island, no formal training. He worked whatever jobs he could from the age of sixteen — burgers, pizza deliveries, Wall Street. At twenty-two he quit and started painting. Those early paintings sold. People wanted to own them but couldn't afford originals, so he started putting the work on t-shirts. That's how SSUR was born — his signature written in reverse, with a nod to the USSR and his own origins. What followed was work that pulled from Cold War imagery, revolutionary iconography, drug cartel culture, and pop culture subverted beyond recognition — the Rolex crown flipped, Cornelius from Planet of the Apes reborn as Che Guevara, Comme des Fuckdown everywhere. Collaborations with Supreme, Stüssy, Converse, MEDICOM. Since the 80s. No formal training, no blueprint, no interest in following anyone.Ruslan and Muro Scents founder Wolf go back decades. The rest followed naturally.
